McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P.

McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P., one of Texas C-BAR's founding volunteer law firms, has been a go-to source of committed and excellent legal assistance to both Texas C-BAR and our nonprofit clients for the last seven years.

"We have worked with Texas C-BAR from its inception and believe it is a great way for transactional lawyers to be involved in meaningful pro bono work, something all lawyers should support," wrote Terry McDonald, a partner of McGinnis Lochridge who has accepted many legal matters for nonprofit organizations.

McGinnis Lochridge was founded in 1927 in Austin. The firm later added an office in Houston. Now, the firm’s eighty attorneys participate in local pro bono programs as well as volunteering for Texas C-BAR. Beginning with the critical advice provided to Texas C-BAR's staff and board by one of the firm's name partners, Lloyd Lochridge, and continuing with the legal assistance provided in 21 case matters, McGinnis Lochridge has demonstrated the deepest dedication to Texas nonprofits. Together, their volunteer attorneys have so far devoted more than 225 hours to Texas C-BAR clients.

McGinnis Lochridge volunteer attorneys have helped nonprofits across a number of social missions ranging from affordable housing programs, job training programs, and a rural health clinic. Nonprofit clients have included community economic development associations such as the Organization of Central East Austin Neighborhoods, which brings stakeholders together to work for community enrichment and the Ashera Project, which helps at-risk teens stay in school through pregnancy prevention and abstinence programs. Working with clients from the Texas-Mexico Border to Austin to the Louisiana Gulf Coast, McGinnis Lochridge attorneys demonstrate dedication and commitment in offering pro bono legal services, making a large impact on the Texas nonprofit community.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P. to strengthen Texas nonprofits.
